The Jeju 4.3 Archives

on Truth & Reconciliation

The Jeju 4·3 Incident refers to the tragic events that occurred on Jeju Island between March 1, 1947, and September 21, 1954. Through a collection of rare archival documents, records, photographs, documentary screenings and immersive exhibits, this exhibition pieced together this tragic series of events as well as the remarkable process of peaceful reconciliation that followed, offering a global blueprint for successful conflict resolution in the world today.

Symphony of Serenity:

A Tranquil Ensemble

Symphony of Serenity: A Tranquil Ensemble presented an immersive journey through landscape and abstract paintings from six East Asian artists. Spanning emerging to established talents, this exhibition explored the interplay of traditional and modern artistry.

Each work, while contemporary, retains a deep connection to East Asian heritage, utilising traditional techniques and themes in a fresh, innovative context. This collection celebrated the seamless blend of past and present, showcasing the evolution of cultural expressions through art.

A Collection of LGBTQ+ Art

Louder + Prouder

A selection of work from artists within the LGBTQ+ community, not only showcasing talent but also displaying a diversity of skills, crafts, techniques, disciplines and ideas. Lithography, screenprinting, super heroines, oil painting, muscle men, illustration, drag queens, photography, digital manipulation, mixed media, collage, pool boys, live dance, space men, original music, video, diamond dust, ice creams and poetry all became a part of this wonderful mix of artists and images.

The Dusty O Exhibition

Dusty O, a Soho icon for over 25 years, recently showcased a brand-new collection of artwork exclusively at the Brunswick Art Gallery. The exhibition featured over 20 original pieces and one-off prints, offering a vibrant and energetic glimpse into the life of this celebrated performer, artist, and human being. Through vivid colors and frenetic energy, Dusty O's artwork captured the essence of his unique experiences and perspectives.
