City of Surprises is created from an original photograph taken from Greenwich Park. It features one of Michael’s favourite views of the London skyline - boasting some of the city’s most famous landmarks in a single line with one small difference - for legal reasons. The London Eye, Shard, BT Tower, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Cheesegrater are all there, alongside one building that Michael’s been asked not to feature in his work by its lawyers.
Michael loves the shapes of the view’s outline so he has replaced the building that shall not be named with the head of shark. The ‘new’ London skyline is then laser-cut into gold mirror.
City of Surprises is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 3 weeks.
